Dilute Phase Pneumatic Conveying is ideal for transporting a wide range of dry bulk materials in a simple and cost effective manner. This method uses high gas velocities at low pressures. The conveying gas volume and velocity are sufficient to keep the material that’s being transported in suspension. The standard system design results in an enclosed transport environment making for a safe, sanitary and reliable mode of transport. Common types of dilute phase systems include: pressure, vacuum, and combination vacuum/pressure sequencing. Our ORBINOX EX series high integrity knife gate valve technology was selected for use on a demanding process application. The valves were automated with double acting pneumatic actuators, and fitted with our proprietary PneuLINK™ linear-to-rotary integrated control platform, incorporating a 1/2″ 5/2 bi-stable solenoid valve (Cv = 3.7), and 2-off volt free limit switches.
