InterApp Desponia Butterfly Valves
InterApp Desponia resilient seated butterfly valves, perfect for flue-gas desulfurization (FGD) which is a set of technologies used to remove sulfur dioxide (SO2) from exhaust flue gases of fossil-fuel power plants, and from the emissions of other sulfur oxide emitting processes.  SO2 is an acid gas, and, therefore, the typical sorbent slurries or other materials used to remove the SO2 from the flue gases are alkaline (limestone slurry). InterApp has developed our DESPONIA range of resilient seated Butterfly Valve Technology for these arduous applications, using our field proven FLUCAST liquid abrasion resistant liners, in combination with Alloy 926 super austenitic stainless steel discs, offering superior resistance to both pitting and crevice corrosion….. This DESPONIA DN350 U-pattern butterfly valve has been manufactured with a ductile iron body (200 micron paint system), FLUCAST EPDM liner, Alloy 926 disc, 17-4 PH s/steel stem, and has been automated with an AUMA ‘SQ’ series quarter turn electric actuator.
