Our ORBINOX ‘BC’ series square ported knife gate valve technology was selected for use on a Coal Mill Rejects bulk handling application within a power station. Fabricated from carbon steel S275JR, with a 304 s/steel gate c/w special ‘sliders’ to guide the gate throughout it’s stroke, and fitted with a double acting pneumatic actuator. The valves will be painted in accordance with ISO 12944 C3 system – Grey RAL9006, in compliance with the project specifications, and will be fitted with our PneuLINK™ linear-to-rotary integrated control platform. For this application, our valves are third party certified, by DEKRA, for use in ATEX category 1 (internal) and category 3 (external) environment. In addition, the valves are designed according to DIN EN 14460 (Explosion Pressure Resistant Equipment), to withstand an explosion pressure shock wave of 3.5 bar @ 200C.
