Anaerobic Digestion Gate Valves from Orbinox UK are perfect for processes producing biogas.
Anaerobic digestion is a collection of processes by which micro-organisms break down biodegradable material in the absence of oxygen. The process is used for industrial or domestic purposes to manage waste and/or to produce fuels. The process produces a biogas, consisting of methane, carbon dioxide and traces of other ‘contaminant’ gases, which is widely used as a source of renewable energy. Our ORBINOX ‘EB’ series bi-directional knife gate valve technology is a perfect choice of anaerobic digestion gate valves to meet the most demanding slurry feedstock and digestate applications. This batch of 316 stainless steel EB valves has been fitted with single acting pneumatic actuators c/w our proprietary PneuLINK™ linear to rotary integrated control platform. Our Valve Control Monitor solution was selected, offering a 3/2 mono-stable solenoid valve and 2-off limit switches. A closed loop breather system is included, to refresh the non-pressurised side of the actuators piston with clean instrument air on the spring strokes negative displacement.
