This DESPONIA series butterfly valve is destined for use on a Biogas plant, as the primary “slam shut” isolation valve. The specification demanded complete SS316 construction, with our proprietary ‘VD’ liner technology, and automated with an IA Motion single acting pneumatic actuator c/w our PneuQEV™ product, a NAMUR mount quick exhaust valve system, that ensures the valves closes in <0.5 second! The instrumentation included an ASCO 551 series solenoid valve c/w Exd operator & Westlock 2200 series Valve Position Monitor.
